The 10k Resistor Mod

The 10k mod has been used by several people in their Powerstroke Diesel Engine for quite some time now. What the mod does is, fool the PCM into raising the Injection Control Pressure by 200-300 psi. What this does for you, is gives you a more responsive throttle, and a little bit more power. There is an off-trade to doing this though, you will have a rougher idle, and some trucks exhibit a raised idle.

To do this mod, you first go to Radio Shack, and get a 10,000 ohm (10k) resistor pack (comes with 5, around $1), and if you don't already have some, a bit of telephone wire. Strip the wire, and solder (or use crimp connectors) the wires to the resistor.
